A letter from the principal

August 16, 2019

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year at Indian Land Middle School! I am excited about a new school year that will be full of opportunities to excel in the classroom, on the field, in a concert hall, in an academic competition, in our homes, and between friends. It is no secret that our community continues to explode with growth. With that comes a few challenges, but a ton of opportunities!

Whether you are a first time middle school parent, or if you have been “down this road before”, you probably realize that these years can be challenging as a parent and as a student. Developmentally, our middle level students are rapidly changing physically, emotionally, and intellectually. We are here to help! We have developed a resource with you in mind. From sign-in/sign-out policy to procedures for dropping off students in the morning, the Parent Guide is your first stop for all of your Indian Land Middle School inquiries and concerns.

The Lancaster County School District’s motto is, Putting Children First. As the school principal, I take that seriously and work to base every decision on what is best for our students. I am confident in our faculty and staff and trust we will all work together for the benefit of the people we serve – our students. Your student is our most valued asset, and seeing him/her grow and success is at the forefront of all we do. Let’s work together to create an outstanding and productive school environment.

Our school theme for the 2019-2020 school year is, The Warrior Way. I am excited to see what our students will create and accomplish!
