A letter from the principal

August 2023

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year at Indian Land Middle School! We hope that you are relaxed, recharged and ready to start a new school year. I am so delighted that you are part of our amazing learning community. Our school theme for the 2023-2024 school year is, Warriors Better Together. I am excited to see what our students will create and accomplish.

Indian Land Middle School is looking forward to another incredible and productive school year. Our staff has been planning and preparing for your children all summer. Thank you for understanding that it can take a few weeks for the students to acclimate to a new building, new grade, as well as new teachers.

Thank you to all who are helping prepare for the new school year. Your commitment to ensuring that ILMS remains a celebrated and successful school is inspiring. I eagerly look forward to greeting students and families again. It remains an honor and privilege to serve as your principal.  Together, I know we will make this school year one of growth and achievement for all children.

The Lancaster County School District’s motto is, Putting Children First. As the school principal, I take that seriously and work to base every decision on what is best for our students. I am confident in our faculty and staff and trust we will all work together for the benefit of the people we serve – our students. Your student is our most valued asset, and seeing him/her grow and succeed is at the forefront of all we do. Let’s work together to create an outstanding and productive school environment.

I encourage parents to frequently visit our webpage including the Family Handbook, School Info App and our Facebook page for up to date and accurate information. Thank you for your continued support and positivity as we strive to do what is best for ALL of our students and employees. I welcome and value your positive energy and dedication to excellence in education, and I look forward to working with you and your children.
