Dress Code

Indian Land Middle School Dress Code for the 2022-2023 school year.


Indian Land Middle School will not be implementing the typical uniform dress code policy for the 2022-2023 school year. Students’ clothing must comply with the criteria previously set for dress-down days.


  1. Shorts/skirts must be long enough to extend below the extended fingertips of the wearer or two inches above the knee.

  2. Slippers, flip-flops and slides are not permitted.

  3. Pants cannot have holes above the knees which exposes the skin.

  4. Hats, hoods, bandanas, and sunglasses are not permitted to be worn on the head.

  5. Clothing must not have offensive language, advertisements or images.

  6. Pant and jeans must be worn at the natural waistline. No undergarments exposed.

  7. Shirts must have sleeves and cannot expose any undergarments.

  8. Shirts must fully cover the midriff, skin cannot be visible. If a student raises their arms and their midriff becomes exposed, this is not acceptable.

  9. All students must wear their ID badges at all times.

  10. Blankets and stuffed animals are not permitted at school.
